The GLOBE Academy is a dual language immersion school that is free and public within the DeKalb County school system in Georgia. What makes us really special in being a charter school in DeKalb County is that we offer dual language immersion entirely and completely within our school. We do not have an all English track. We offer three languages: Mandarin Chinese, French, and Spanish.

GLOBE's mission goes back to just what GLOBE stands for, so Global Learning Opportunities for Balanced Education, and everything we do here relates back to that acronym. GLOBE hopes to inspire not only the acquisition of a second language, but also for our students to walk away from here with an appreciation of so many cultures around the world.

In our mission, we utilize the acronym CREST, which stands for Community, Respect, Empathy, Sustainability and Trust. The idea being that we're teaching our students to be global citizens and not just students, and to be exposed to language and culture and hands on learning in ways where students can learn to own their education and take it in any direction that they choose.
