Since its opening in 2013, The GLOBE Academy has been on a steady incline and has experienced consistent growth. We have reached a crucial juncture of need that includes improving transportation options for GLOBE families; building a gymnasium for Kindergarten to 3rd grade students on lower campus; and the need to invest in GLOBE faculty by expanding professional development and training opportunities.

The GLOBE Academy opened its doors in fall of 2013 with about 270 students and about 25 staff, and we are now in year seven, and here we are with two campuses, about 140 staff, and 1000 students. So with growth comes a lot of growing pains, and we have been diligent about fulfilling our needs, but it's come a point where we need some outside help to continue the service that we're doing for students in DeKalb County School System.

The GLOBE Academy has done some thoughtful research about what is one thing that could really enhance our program, and that is the ability to reach every single type of student within DeKalb County School District, and to do that we need to offer transportation. Transportation comes at a cost, and we need your help.

After that, as we continue to grow, we are in desperate need of a gym down at Lower Campus, so our students can have a place to play and learn through physical education throughout all climates.

We are very lucky here with the staff that we have because they come to us with a wealth of information and knowledge to share with our students, but we want them to continue to grow. We want to foster an environment of lifelong learners. But to do that, it costs money. And we need your help to truly develop our teachers to be the best in the country.

Diversity, Equity and Inclusion is really important to us, and it kind of runs through the fabric of who we are. And we want to continue to grow, because we know that it's not a check the box initiative. We are here to continue to grow as people to give the best we can to our students, so they can grow up and live in a world that finally has DEI In every corner of our country.
